Practice Policies:
Cancellation Policy: New patient appointments must be cancelled with at least 48 hours notice, or half of the consultation fee will be charged. Follow up appointments must be cancelled with at least 24 hours notice, or the full appointment fee will be charged.
Prescription Policies:
1. Prescriptions are reviewed with patients and electronically prescribed at the time of the appointment. Enough medication will be prescribed to last until the next appointment. It is important that patients ask for refills at follow-up appointments.
2. If you are running low on medications, please schedule a follow up appointment if you do not have one already. In addition, contact the office directly to request up to a 30 day prescription to get you through to the next appointment.
3. Please do not ask your pharmacy to contact us for refills. We do not respond to these requests for patient safety and efficiency. These requests often contain errors. Patients need to contact us directly if they need a refill.
4. Prescription refill requests are only processed Monday-Friday 8a-5p. Please allow two business days for a refill request to be processed. We do not send in refills over the weekend.
5. Controlled substances are only prescribed at appointments, every one to three months. This is for patient safety and regulatory requirements. In addition, per PA law, Dr. Seufert must check the controlled substance prescription database, to look for any red flags of potential controlled substance misuse.
